Super Bowl Slop: The NFL All-MAGA Starting 11

·

·

The NFL doesn’t just tolerate political difference. It absorbs it, pads it up, and sends it back onto the field without much fuss. That’s why an exercise like this even works. While the NBA has one very famous outlier and a lot of silence, the NFL has a long tradition of players who are comfortable being publicly out of step with league messaging, media expectations, and cultural consensus. Sometimes it’s subtle. Sometimes it’s a red hat caught on camera. Sometimes it’s a podcast rant that goes viral by Tuesday.

This isn’t about judging politics or turning a locker room into a voting booth. It’s about acknowledging a reality fans already know: the NFL’s cultural makeup is broader, messier, and far less filtered than its pro basketball counterpart. So with that in mind, and sticking strictly to public statements, visible signaling, and documented moments rather than guesswork, here’s what an All-MAGA NFL lineup actually looks like in 2025.

Offense

QB: Aaron Rodgers (Jets)

Not formally MAGA, but anti-establishment, anti-media, anti-mandate, and a hero to the same political audience. He’s the quarterback of this team whether he wants the label or not.

RB: Derrick Henry (Ravens)

Public Trump support, photo-ops, and social media activity. Quiet personality, very loud symbolism.

WR1: DeSean Jackson (Ravens)

Publicly aligned with conservative and nationalist talking points post-controversy. Frequently appears in MAGA-adjacent media spaces.

WR2: Cole Beasley (Cowboys)

Openly anti-mandate, openly conservative, very comfortable pushing back on league orthodoxy. This one is straightforward.

TE: George Kittle (49ers)

Not political in interviews, but extremely visible MAGA signaling in apparel and social posts. The most “football guy” inclusion on the list.

Defense

EDGE: Nick Bosa (49ers)

The cleanest case on the board. Public MAGA gear, open Trump support, no attempt to soften it.

EDGE: Joey Bosa (Chargers)

More restrained than Nick, but similar signaling and background. Comes along for the ride.

LB: Cole Holcomb (Steelers)

Less famous, but has openly shared conservative and MAGA-aligned content.

LB: Jake Kumerow (Saints)

Explicit MAGA support and social media history. No ambiguity.

CB: Logan Ryan (Buccaneers)

This is a stretch compared to others, but has publicly clashed with league-favored political narratives and aligned himself more with conservative talking points than most DBs.

S: Harrison Smith (Vikings)

Rarely speaks publicly, but known within league circles for conservative views and affiliations. A classic “everyone knows, no one says it” pick.

Coach (because it matters)

HC: Mike Vrabel (free agent)

Not MAGA-loud, but very openly anti-league-mandate, skeptical of institutional messaging, and admired in conservative sports media.
