Sandro Mamukelashvili is available for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Portland Trail Blazers on Nov. 6, after spending the day listed as questionable with an illness. NBC Sports’ Raphielle Johnson reported the change on Nov. 6, and HEAVY reported the same upgrade, crediting ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. Tipoff is 7 p.m. Pacific at Crypto.com Arena.
That is a straight upgrade from where the report stood earlier in the day. Mamukelashvili was the one new name on the Lakers’ list for the NBA Cup group game, added as questionable with an illness, which Ryan Ward of Sports Illustrated first reported. No source has named anything more specific than an illness, and the Lakers have not said more.
The rest of Friday’s report is unchanged. Bronny James and Cameron Carr are out on G League assignment and Walker Kessler is available with a splint on his left finger, per Juan Paolo David of HEAVY.
Mamukelashvili’s availability also removes the frontcourt shortage that was the clearest route to minutes for Adou Thiero, who is off the injury report and cleared for his season debut.
All designations are as of Nov. 6 and can change before tipoff.
